Lastly, you know, that 'blue' photograph doesn't look totally blue. Look at the top of the house there. It is kinda red. Not as red. Do you have a pic from the same night with more of the house in it?

Also, could you take a picture of the sidewalk next time too?

Well thanks for your help. I'll have to try that out tonight as it is sunny at the moment.

Regarding the WB. When I meant I knew how to set it, I meant I knew how to configure it and change the values, not that I knew how to set it correctly, which I don't. I've always had problems with WB because I never really ever bothered to set it properly and learn how to use it. I've use Auto and it's been fine on that mostly.

I don't have any other pictures from the same one as the blue picture. I think I deleted the rest, but I'll check later. I do see some red on it, but still nowhere near as much as the ones I took the the day before yesterday and yesterday.

I downloaded Lightroom but no amount of tinkering with the WB in it would restore the correct blue colour. So it might not be the WB that's causing this huge redening of the photo.

In answer to the original question, it is because of the street lights. They come up at a fair distance on long exposure. Whenever I'm in the middle of no-where i like to take advantage and get some decent photos without the extra light. The reason the second photo is not as orange/red is because its framed better on the sky and no the houses which reflect the red/orange light.

Personally i don't like the idea of "fixing" this by adjusting the white balance, but I would rather go where its a bit darker. Just a wood with a clearing should do it. You will find it makes a huge difference.

Yeah, that makes sense. Thanks a lot.
