I think that once you reach a certain age (25-30ish) that your maturity level peaks (in most) and from there age is just a number because you can relate to the other person on an intellectual level and as peers. I think that people over 18 dating people under 18 shouldn't be done past 2years because the age difference is too much and you're going through different things in your life at that point. You don't want your significant other thinking you're just a child and you don't understand, even if you do, they may think that, or vice versa.

When you get older it doesn't seem to matter that much. I'm only 13 and this guy in the year above who has just turned 15 really likes me, but we're to much of good friends to reck it.

I'm 18 and i dated a 14 yr old. age meant nothing to either of us. still, i was very against sex because she was so young. i love her for the person she is and just because she hasn't been alive as long as me doesn't make it different.

i think that after age 16, the age gap can be pretty good sized. it really depends on the maturity level of the younger person.
my cousin is 16, and her boyfriend is 21. 5 years isn't too bad at 16, plus she's a very mature young lady.
like i said, it all really just depends.

it's all about your age.I mean if you are 13 and u go out with a 8 year old people will definitly think something is wrong. if you are 40 and go out with a 35 year old its no big deal so yes age does sometimes matter.

in my opinion age is just a number. but than again if a girl is 13 and the guy is about 20 something , i disagree , that would be rape. but what some people don't understand is what if the boy & girl went to high school together and she was a freshman and it's his last year, at that time wasn't both them just two teens ?
